It has been reported that there has been an end to the ban on gay sex in India. The section 377 of the Indian penal code which was enacted by British rulers in 1861 banned "carnal intercourse against the order of nature with any man, woman or animal".
Right from the 1990's activist has been fighting against this ban as LGBT groups were been prosecuted and have been facing various forms of sufferings. However with the lifting off of the ban on Thursday, the LGBT group across India has been filled with celebrations as they finally have the right to be treated equally.
